Manifesting from Gratitude

My life has been filled with magical moments, lessons learned and wonderful people. More than anything I am grateful I was given the ability to be present and understand that time is the only currency that you cannot get back. This outlook on my life does not mean that I have not experienced tormentous moments and had challenges to overcome, more than anything,  the foundation of this perspective on life lyes on a deep sense of gratitude.

My dad has a lot to do with this huge feeling in the middle of my heart of joy and appreciation for everything around me.  As we grew up he shared with us on repeat his principles in life. One of them was “gratitude” he would say there is nothing as bad in life as an ungrateful human being, with the same amount of passion that Madeleine Albright says over and over: there is a special place in hell for women who don’t support women, you get the idea. Pretty intense.

Aside from my dad’s obsession with gratitude, I was born with a great sense of admiration, awe and appreciation of the things that surrounded me.  The ability to be present and grateful allows you to understand and express your gratitude every day. I have found that being vocally grateful with the people of your life who make your life better helps jumpstart a circle of love and good riddance. If this is not enough to inspire you to focus on the things that you feel gratitude for I will tell you that Oprah says that she owes a huge part of her success to gratitude.  Being grateful also has the following benefits for your wellbeing: Gratitude improves your sleep, enhances self-esteem and increases your mental strength and resilience.

Gratitude is the Mother of all our blessings and the feeling you need as a foundation when you start your journey of manifesting all you want in life. You attract more of what you want when your body generates oxytocin and your energy level responds to it immediately, your body does that when you feel gratitude. All alignment, all happiness, joy and abundance on every single level, comes from and is born from feeling good. All the spiritual alignment you seek, the insight, the intuition, the connections and opportunities, come from feeling good now. It all starts and ends with that  FEELING. That is the point. You want all those things to feel good and in order to get them you need to feel good about them. You always have a choice and everyday, you have a new opportunity, a new start, a new beginning. How fantastic is this life experience. You can reset every day.

Focus on things in your life you feel gratitude for and immediately you will start feeling good. The better it gets the Better Everything gets. It just takes a little practice to take your attention away from Unwanted thoughts that is why we need to focus on feelings. Gratitude is a powerful process for shifting your energy and bringing more of what you want into your life. Be grateful for what you already have and you will attract more good things. Gratitude can transform common days into thanksgiving, turn routine jobs into joy, and change ordinary opportunities into blessings. (William Arthur Ward). Gratitude unlocks all that’s blocking us from really feeling truthful, really feeling authentic and vulnerable and happy.

You can do it daily or once a week, I would recommend you try to do experience the feeling every chance you have an opportunity.  Here are some tips for you to develop a fulfilling gratitude ritual:

1. Find a relaxing position and space at home

2. Close your eyes and pay attention to your breathing, deep intentional and conscious breaths

3. Think of something great that you experience recently, little things count big time

4. Think of someone you love very much

5.Think of a situation where you felt honored and appreciated by others

6. Feel the positive feelings that come from all these things you remembered

7. Open your eyes and mentioned all the things, people or situations that you are grateful for  

8. Allow yourself to fully experience gratitude, savoir the feeling that your body and your mind are experiencing

9. Ask the Universe for what you want and feel grateful for the opportunity of experience gratitude for all the things that you have.

10. Set your intention for the day e.g. Joy and Achievement, Peace and tranquility, excitement and passion.

11. Deep breath and be thankful for your practice.

Choosing a set time for your ritual can be very beneficial, at the end of the day the most important aspect  is to do it at a times that works for you thus it is a sustainable ritual. I actually do it, on my way to my bar method class as  I am walking and it allows me to arrive to class in such good spirits and I also set my intention for class and my day. For class I always set my intentions on concentration and integrity so that I can have the best possible of practice for me that day.  Since every day is different I honor how my body feels each day but regardless It is very important to me that I do my class with utmost integrity so I set my intention toward that.

I highly recommend you practice present-moment gratitude, that is my favorite mini-mindfulness technique and one that has helped me immensely in my day to day.
