Releasing Shame

 

Carl Jung used to say: :The most terrifying thing is to accept oneself completely.” We spent the entire last week speaking about the detrimental effects of judgement. As we continue with our reflections on things or behaviors that may be holding us back we need to see that the result of all that hard judgment on ourselves is shame. This week we will be talking about releasing shame which will be easier since we already now where it come from. Shame is one of the most hurtful and painful of emotions and it is one big issue that without a doubt holds us back from becoming the best version of ourselves and living the life we want to live. When we are trapped in the shame web, we are stuck and held back, we need to understand that if we do not get away from it we will never truly be free and get what we want. Spend a few minutes today thinking how a life free of shame would feel to you? Feel that.
